The teaser

Forty-three seconds on the floor.

Boardroom gameplay — the board and governance screen

No cinematics and no pre-rendered skyline. Every frame is the game running — the board screen, the CEO scorecard, the succession decision that ends your tenure.

The premise

Most tycoon games
fake the accounting.

Boardroom doesn't. Behind the desk sits a full double-entry engine, and a 200-quarter integrity test runs on every build asserting the balance sheet ties to within a hundredth of a unit.

That constraint is the game. You can't bluff your way out of a cash crunch, because the cash flow is real.

Leases Take a 99-year office lease and it lands on the balance sheet properly — as an asset and a liability, under IFRS 16. Buying and leasing genuinely feel different.
Covenants Break one and lenders don't seize the firm. They grant a standstill — two to four quarters, with a countdown and a headline in the press.
Volcker The prop desk holds inventory in anticipation of client demand — the same justification real banks use. Set the risk appetite and live with the tail.
Free float Buy back too much of your own stock and the float thins. Below 3% the exchange puts you on notice — and a thin float makes the price violent both ways.
What you actually run

Build the franchise.

01 · ORIGINATION

The client book

Win mandates in contested bake-offs against named rivals. Every account carries revenue, satisfaction and churn risk — and your floor can only carry so many.

Enterprise · Mid-market · HNI
02 · MARKETS

The prop desk

Commit risk capital to an equity or fixed-income book. Hire the trading head the whole street wants, set your appetite, and live with the tail.

RWA · VaR · Tier-1 ratio
03 · GOVERNANCE

The board

Seven directors, each weighting growth, profit, share price and governance differently. Deliver and they sign your pay. Don't, and they won't.

Annual review · Proxy fights
04 · CAPITAL

Going public

Pick bankers, survive the roadshow, price the book. Then face a quarterly earnings call about the numbers you actually posted.

Roadshow · Concall · FPO
And what happens to you

Survive the cycle.

05 · M&A

The deal room

Episodic mega-mandates — hostile defences, jumbo IPOs, restructurings. Win the pitch, survive the execution, bank the fee. Or collapse publicly.

06 · FOOTPRINT

Going global

Open London, Singapore or Dubai. Buy the building or lease it — then station bankers there, or the office earns nothing at all.

AMER · EUR · APAC · MEA
07 · CYCLE

Crisis eras

Named multi-quarter downturns: tremors, crash, policy response, recovery. A rival bank fails. A bailout appears — with strings attached to your pay.

Bank failure · Fire sales
08 · CONDUCT

The inbox

Mail from your directs, your floor and outsiders. Every choice moves a hidden integrity meter — until a short-seller publishes what you buried.

Integrity risk · Short reports
